Greg was born in 1962 and raised in Colorado, Massachusetts, Delaware, and Vermont.

                                                  He graduated with honors from Cornell University, Arts and Sciences, as a Geology major and is

                                                  still fascinated by Geology, Biology and Oceanography. Upon graduation from university, Greg

                                                  was a Oceanographer for 3 years and worked for the U.S. Geological Survey and Sea Education

                                                  Association in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

                                                             He is currently in Acupuncture and Massage private practice and is continuing education in Physical Therapy Assisting in order to contribute to the field of Physical Therapy Outpatient Rehabilitation.

Greg holds a Masters of Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture and is a licensed acupuncturist in MA and CT. He practiced acupuncture at Kripalu Center for 3 years and Canyon Ranch of the Berkshires for 12 years before going into private practice. He is a licensed massage therapist in MA and CT, and has practiced therapeutic massage at Kripalu Center for 8 years, LABO Spa in Zurich Switzerland for 2 years, and in addition Exhale Spa Boston, and Chiropractic Associates of Manchester by the Sea. He offers Relaxing Massage, Deep-tissue Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu, and Craniosacral Therapy.

Hhas directed over a hundred in-depth weekend programs, reaching thousands of guests at Kripalu Center, the biggest yoga center in North America. His certifications are 500 hour Professional Kripalu Yoga Teacher, 200 hour Ananda Yoga Teacher, and continuing education with many of the best teachers from various yoga traditions. He is currently on the Kripalu Guest Yoga team, R&R Workshop team, and Kripalu Outdoor Activities team.

Greg lived for 2 years in Switzerland, where he taught courses in point location and endocrinology at the Academy of Chinese Healing Arts in Winterthur and practiced facial acupuncture at LABO Spa, the #1 Urban Spa in Switzerland. Greg also holds a TEFL certificate and taught English as a foreign language at Hull's School in Zurich. 

In addition to living in Switzerland for 2 years, he has lived/worked in the Findhorn Community in Scotland for 1 year, and has traveled extensively in India, Japan, China, and Thailand. 

He founded Centered Heart in 1990. Centered Heart acupuncture, qigong and massage is in Rhythms Center in Lenox MA. Greg offers regular Tuesday classes in Lenox, occasional classes in Great Barrington and and seasonal classes at Eastover Estate and Retreat in 

Originally trained in Yang Style Tai Chi, Greg now teaches the more comprehensive, and original, Chen Style Qigong and Tai Chi, and is directly mentored by Grandmaster Yang Yang Ph.D. of NYC. Greg is highly dedicated in his close association with Dr. Yang, a highly respected Tai Chi and Qigong teacher and researcher, and assists him in teaching programs at Kripalu Center and other venues. Greg is a certified teacher of Master Yang Yang's Evidenced-Based Tai Chi and Evidence-Based Qigong Curriculum (EBT and EBQ).

Greg is highly trained by other Qigong and Taiji teachers and has a long background in teaching the Five Animal Frolics and Five Element Qigong, the subjects of his DVD, as well as Yang Style partner form. He remains associated with Dr. Jay Dunbar and the Magic Tortoise School, which carries on teachings of the late Master Jou Tsung Hua.

Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Acutonics/Magnets, Therapeutic Qigong, Swedish, Deep-Tissue, Sports, and Shiatsu/Thai Masssage sessions are available at the main office at Rhythms Center in Lenox MA. Greg practices both Japanese Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. 

Private and personalized adventures are available, upon request, in the Swiss Alps and throughout New England. Greg is an avid adventurer and leader in the outdoors, wilderness trained and certified by the Red Cross as a Lifeguard with Waterfront Skills, CPR and First Aid certified as well.
