                                                  Greg was born in 1962 and raised in Colorado, Massachusetts, Delaware, and Vermont.

                                                  He graduated with honors from Cornell University, Arts and Sciences, as a Geology major and is

                                                  still fascinated by Geology, Biology and Oceanography. Upon graduation from university, Greg

                                                  was a Oceanographer for 3 years and worked for the U.S. Geological Survey and Sea Education

                                                  Association in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

                                                             He has run a private practice in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Lenox MA. since the 90's.

Greg holds a Masters of Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture and is licensed in both acupuncture and massage therapy in MA and CT since the 1990's. He is part of the Healing Arts Department at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and previously worked at Canyon Ranch Destination Spa of the Berkshires, LABO Spa in Zurich Switzerland, Exhale Spa of the North End in Boston, and at Chiropractic Associates in Manchester by the Sea, MA. He offers Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for Relief of Chronic Pain and Stress, Anxiety and Insomnia, as well as Relaxing Meditative Massage, Deep-tissue Massage, Footwork, Acupressure, Thai Massage, Positional Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy.

Hhas directed over a hundred weekend programs in Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, and Outdoor Activities, reaching thousands of guests at Kripalu Center, the biggest yoga center in North America. His certifications are 500 hour Professional Kripalu Yoga Teacher, 200 hour Ananda Yoga Teacher, and continuing education with many of the best teachers from various yoga traditions. He is currently on the Kripalu Guest Yoga team, R&R Workshop team, and Kripalu Outdoor for various activities weekly.

Greg lived for 2 years in Switzerland, where he taught courses in point location and endocrinology at the Academy of Chinese Healing Arts in Winterthur and practiced facial acupuncture at LABO Spa, the #1 Urban Spa in Switzerland. Greg also holds a TEFL certificate and taught English as a foreign language at Hull's School in Zurich. 

In addition to living in Switzerland for 2 years, he has lived/worked in the Findhorn Community in Scotland for 1 year, and has traveled extensively in India, Japan, China, and Thailand. 

He founded Centered Heart in 1990. Centered Heart acupuncture is available in Rhythms Center in Lenox MA. and Boundless Massage Therapy and Acupuncture in West Stockbridge MA Greg offers regular Qigong/ Tai Chi classes in Lenox on Tuesday afternoons,, classes on Thursday afternoons at Simon's Rock College and summer classes on Sunday mornings at Eastover Eco-Village and Retreat in Lenox, MA 

Greg teaches comprehensive Chen-Style Qigong and Tai Chi, and is directly mentored by Master Yang Yang Ph.D. of NYC, himself a close disciple of the late Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang. Greg is highly dedicated in his close association with Dr. Yang, a highly respected Tai Chi and Qigong teacher and researcher, and assists him in teaching programs at Kripalu Center and other venues. Greg is a certified teacher of Master Yang Yang's Evidenced-Based Tai Chi and Evidence-Based Qigong Curriculum (EBT and EBQ).

Greg has a a very long background in teaching the Five Animal Frolics and Five Element Qigong, the subjects of his DVD, as well as Yang Style partner form. He is associated with Dr. Jay Dunbar and the Magic Tortoise School, which carries on the teachings of the late Master Jou Tsung Hua.
